Acadiana Medieval Faire

Louisiana

Location: Arnaudville
Start Date: 03/29/2008
End Date: 04/01/2008
Festival-Info:

The Acadiana Medieval Faire is a recreation of a medieval town faire similar to those found during the late medieval period of continental Europe.

When you travel to the Acadiana Medieval faire circa 1400AD, you will find the villagers celebrating the spring market faire.

When you enter the Faire, you'll see merchant booths, unique Olde World games, rides, a wide selection of exotic foods, and unique performing arts areas.

Skilled artisans and merchants will sell and demonstrate their wares. They will speak «in character» about their trade in the Medieval Period, and will dress in authentic looking clothing. Long forgotten skills such as falconry, archery, and puppetry are brought back to life at the Faire.

Our stages will feature a continuous medley of live entertainment. Minstrels, dancers, jugglers, and strolling villagers will fill the streets with live entertainment.

Directions: From I-10 take exit 103 to North I-49. Take Exit 11 and head east on HWY 93 for approximately 4 miles. After Beau Chene High School, turn right onto Roy Road. Festival Site is approximately 1/4 mile on Right.
