Festival-Info: At the LA Ren Fest or the ""Louisiana Renaissance Festival "" you can see what an English village and festive market place could have been like. Mix that with a little bit of Louisiana spice. Experience the exciting romantic renaissance. Enjoy lots of festivities, parades, and all around merriment. See the royal parade with their majesties. Many artisans from throughout the Kingdom display their crafts. The LA Ren Fest is known for having: Peasants, Nobles, Knights, Barons and of course the King and Queen. Villagers to look for include: Black Smith, Glass Blower, Carpenters, Weaver, Sculptures, Potters, Pig Farmer, Busty Wenches, Scotsmen in Kilts, and Men in Tights. The Renaissance is also known for entertainment and events such as: Shakespeare, Juggling, fire eating, rope walkers, people on stilts, jesters, magicians, sword fighting duels, Birds of Prey, and Jousting.
Directions: One mile north of Hammond High School on Hwy 1064 ( River Road). Easy access from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Biloxi MS.
