When you get to this
faire, be sure to find John Becker's
booth. He makes mugs, tankards and other
things of wood but uses 'manpower' or
'audience power' (I on the other hand,
use electricity). Pretty amazing stuff.
I must admit that my electric power tools
make my job a lot easier than his job.
Check out his website at Reincarnatedtrees
website.
I personally do not
know John, I just thought people attending
this faire might like to actually see
what goes into making something with
a lathe. Now, as to the actual faire
info.......
Inside
the turreted gates of Hollygrove
you are free to roam the festive marketplace,
featuring friendly village merchants
lining every path. In
addition to the fantastic selection of
handcrafted wares, Hollygrove visitors
may also partake in games of skill or
enjoy non-stop entertainment where belly
dancers, sword swallowers, musicians,
comedians and sword fighters provide
merriment for all ages. The
Festival is best known for it's
awe-inspiring full-contact armored
jousting tournaments where gallant
knights defend their honor until the
last man is standing!
