The Queen's Progress - Thrill to the spectacle and pageantry as we welcome Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth to our village each faire day at half past noon. The glittering parade begins at the main gate and proceeds throughout Bristol. Marvel at the beautiful costumes of the Queen's Court, horse-mounted knights in shining armor and samplings from our marketplace vendors. Don't forget to shout, "God save the Queen!"
The Joust - View one of the nation's premiere jousting teams. Knights on horseback compete three times daily to win the favor of the Queen. Cheer your favorite knight as he participates in games of skill, the thrilling royal joust - officiated by the Queen herself - and finally the heart-pounding joust to the death.
T he Sturdy Beggars Mud Show® - Delight in the terrific comedy and "dirty" tricks of The Sturdy Beggars Mud Show®, truly The "Greatest Show in Earth!" featured five times each Faire day.
Dirk & Guido: The Swordsmen - give "Lessons in Gentlemanly Behavior" daily at the Cheshire Chase Action Theatre. Watch as they perform daring swordfights and attempt to win the affections of unsuspecting ladies from the audience. |

From the North:
Traveling south on I94, take exit # 347 onto Highway 165 which is also called Lakeside Parkway. This exit is past (south) of Highway 50 and County C.
Head west on Highway 165, take first left on to the west Frontage Road going south, which you take for about 2 miles. There is an old barn with a metal roof and two silos on the right. Enter using the second driveway beyond the barn.
From the South:
Traveling north on I94, exit to the right on Russell Road. Turn left (west) on Russell Rd. crossing over I94 and go to the first stop sign which is at the Frontage Rd. and on the west side of I94.
Turn right (north) on the Frontage Rd. and go past 128th St. (WG) and where the divided road joins, there is a driveway. Turn left up the drive to the Faire.
From the West:
US45 runs north & south and is intersected by WG about 6 miles west of the Faire. WG is also called 128th Street, State Line Road, and Antioch. Travel on WG east to frontage |
